Get ready to enjoy HD Live Blackjack with our professional croupiers. It’s just like playing in the roped-off sections of Atlantic City casinos, only better. You get to experience real Blackjack from the comforts of home, or on the go. The goal is to beat the dealer without exceeding 21. Can you do it? Our Blackjack croupiers are waiting to deal you in. In no time at all you’ll be hitting, doubling down, splitting, and taking insurance. It’s your call player. Our Live Blackjack games stream direct to your screen in real time, via a secure Internet feed. You’re face-to-face with real dealers in real time. Thanks to 888casino USA, you’ve got front row seats to the hottest games in the house! Don’t fret - our dealers are ready to show you the ropes. Once you’ve placed your bets, you’ll be dealt two cards face up. Only one of the dealer’s cards will be visible to you. The decisions you take are based on your hole cards and the dealer’s upcard. You can hit, stand, double down, split, or take insurance where appropriate. The best blackjack players understand the rules of play. You’re up against the live casino dealer in pursuit of the highest value hand. Any hand total over 21 automatically busts. Naturally, the best hand you can form is Blackjack made of an Ace and a 10-value card. Don’t worry about other players in Live Blackjack – it’s just you and the dealer. PS: We’ve got the best seat in the house waiting for you. Let’s get started!

How to Play

Our blackjack games are played with 8 decks of cards, and the dealer draws to 16 and stands on all 17s. You can double on any 2 cards up front and split on cards of equal value. If the dealer’s upcard is an Ace, you can take insurance. Blackjack pays 3:2, and insurance pays 2:1. If your hand ties with the dealer’s hand, a push game ensues. You will always know what the minimum and maximum bets are per table, and per spot. Click your preferred chip size and place it on the table to get the action started. You may see a fraction displayed on the table. This indicates how many seats are currently occupied, and how many are vacant. If you see 4/7, that means 4 seats are occupied and 3 seats are vacant. Simply pick a live blackjack table to get started!

Rules

The rules are easy to learn. Each game can accommodate up to 7 players. You will see the number of vacant seats listed at each table. Our blackjack games are played with 8 decks of cards featuring 52 cards per deck. Aces count as 1 or 11, and cards 2-10 have their nominal value. Cards with paint on them (Jacks, Queens, and Kings) are valued at 10. You will be allocated time to place your bets, and once those bets have been placed, the blackjack croupier will deal 1 card to each player in turn. The player immediately to the left of the dealer will receive cards first. Once all players have received their first card, a second face up card will be dealt to each player. One of the dealer’s cards is face up, the other is face down. Remember, it doesn’t matter what other players are holding – it’s you versus the dealer.

Understanding Your Betting Options in Live Blackjack

  • Insurance - If the dealer’s upcard is an Ace, you can choose the insurance option to protect yourself against a dealer blackjack. Insurance costs 50% of your original bet. It is paid separately from the bet on your hand. The dealer will peek at the value of the cards to determine whether he/she has blackjack. If there is no blackjack, the round will continue. The dealer wins if he/she has blackjack and you don’t. If both player and dealer have blackjack, the game ends in a push. If the dealer’s face upcard is 10 or a royal, you will not be able to buy insurance and the dealer won’t check the downcard for blackjack.
  • Hit, Stand or Double Down – You will have the option to improve the value of your hand by hitting or doubling down. When you hit, you opt for an additional card. You can continue hitting until you reach your desired target, or until you bust. You can double down (take one final card and double your bet) if your hand total is less than 21. If you’re happy with your hand total, simply stand and wait for the dealer to reveal his/her cards.
  • Split – Players who have a pair of cards of equal value can choose to split those cards and play two separate hands in pursuit of a winning total. The bets per hand are equal to the value of your main bet. Once you split your hands, you’ll receive another card. Then you will be able to hit or stand. Players who split a pair of Aces will only be dealt one final card.
  • Hand Totals - any hand total that exceeds 21 automatically loses. You will forfeit all bets placed on that hand. Once all players have placed their bets, the dealer will reveal the value of his/her downcard. The dealer is required to draw to 16 and stand on all 17s (hard 17 and soft 17). A winning hand total is one which beats the dealer’s hand without exceeding 21. If the dealer busts, the player automatically wins. If a player’s hand total equals the dealer’s hand total, it’s a push. This results in your bet being returned to you.

Side Bets

888casino Live Blackjack games include optional bets known as side bets. These include perfect pairs and 21+3. When you place your main blackjack bets, you will place your optional bets at the same time.

With Perfect Pairs, you will win if your first 2 cards make up the pair. There are 3 varieties of Perfect Pair bets, including:

  • A Mixed Pair – pairs made up of different suits such as a 9 of spades + 9 of clubs
  • A Colored Pair – pairs made up of the same color cards such as 3 of hearts and 3 of diamonds
  • A Perfect Pair – pairs made up of the same suit such as Kings of hearts

With 21+3 Side Bets, if the first two cards that you are dealt and the dealer’s upcard make up any of these combinations, you will win the 21+ 3 bet:

  • Flush – Example 8, 10, and Jack of spades
  • Straight – sequential cards of different suits such as 9 of spades, 10 of hearts, Jack of clubs
  • Three of a Kind – 3 cards from different suits such as Ace of diamonds, Ace of hearts, and Ace of spades
  • Straight Flush – suited cards in numerical sequence such as 4 of hearts, 5 of hearts, 6 of hearts
  • Suited Trips – these are 3 identical cards such as 3 Jacks of hearts
